Venue: Somerset College of Arts & Technology, Wellington Road, Taunton TA1 5AX 10am to 4pm
The keynote speaker at 2.00pm will be Paul Stamper on Historic Battlefields - archaeology, management and interpretation - a view from English
Heritage. The morning review of archaeology in Somerset will include Richard McConnell on the excavations of the Augustinian Priory of St Peter & St Paul in Taunton, Jayne Lawes on the excavations at Upper Row, Albert Thompson on Roman and post-Roman Priddy on Mendip, Vince Russett on Community Archaeology in North Somerset and Charlie Hollinrake on Neolithic timber structures and other features at the Walpole landfill site.
Admission £5 on the door. Tea & coffee provided, but bring your own lunch.
