with particular reference to the historic County of Somerset and is an important point of contact for anyone with an interest in understanding and protecting the heritage of Somerset.

SANHS Photography Competition 2016!

To be exhibited in Taunton public library from 18th until 22nd October.

Entries may be in colour or monochrome but must not measure more that A4. All photographs entered must be mounted but not framed and have the name and address of the photographer on the back of the mount.

The subjects of the entries should come under natural history, archaeology, historic buildings and local history and must be related to Somerset.

Entries to be submitted to Somerset Archaeological and Natural History office at The Somerset Heritage Centre, Brunel Way, Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton TA2 6SF by Friday 7th October 2018 and be collected from the same place by arrangement before 11th November.

The exhibition will be stewarded by SANHS members who should encourage visitors to the exhibition to nominate their favourite photograph on display. Such nominations will determine the winning entry.

The Society needs public donations in order to improve the condition of its heritage collections and to contribute to its projects, such as the refurbishment of Wyndham Hall, part of its Taunton Castle Estate. We would welcome completion of a 'Gift Aid' form (click here) if you pay income tax.
